  • The Korea Public Institution Audit Association
    signed a business pact for mutual cooperation with the Korea Patent Attorney Association.

    On May 30, the Korea Public Institution Audit Association signed a business pact to form a mutual cooperation with the Korea Patent Attorney Association. The signing ceremony was attended by Korea Public Institution Audit Association Chairman Gang Rae-ku(K-water standing auditor), and Korea Patent Attorney Association Chairman Hong Jang-won, with the aims of expanding anti-corruption and integrity culture to realize social value contribution, as well as promoting mutual growth through close cooperation between two institutions.
    The main cooperation contents include sharing of information and know-how to expand anti-corruption and culture of integrity, cooperating between two associations to realize social value, jointly participating in relevant events, and supporting advices related to intellectual properties.
    Meanwhile, the Korea Public Institution Audit Association was established as a non-profit corporation under the auspices of the Board of Audit and Inspection of Korea in 2008 to put into practice the government’s state affairs philosophy, increase the audit quality of public institutions, and exchange relevant information. The association’s members are the acting Chairman Gang Rae-ku, who is also the K-water standing auditor, and other standing auditors of 108 public institutions in Korea.

  • K-water and KORAS
    signed a mutual cooperation business pact.

    On June 7, K-water and the Korea Recycled Construction Resources Association(KORAS) signed a business pact for “mutual cooperation to build a resource circularity-geared waterfront city for carbon neutrality and ESG management.”
    This agreement was made to conduct the waterfront project for the Eco Delta Smart City in Busan, Songsan Green City in Hwaseong, and Hydrothermal Energy Cluster in Gangwon-do. It aims to reduce carbon emissions at construction sites by activating the utilization of quality-certified recycled aggregate, which will help our society become a carbon-free society. The main cooperation agendas include cooperation and support for expanding recycled aggregate, sharing of future demand for construction resources and mutual activities for reducing the public budget, as well as cooperation and support for promoting the activation of recycling construction wastes.
    The two organizations plan to form and operate a working-level meeting to seek and monitor practical cooperation plans, and will ramp up their efforts to secure continuity and executive ability of the cooperation.

  • K-water participated in AWWA's Annual Conference and Exposition 2022(ACE22) in the U.S.A.

    K-water participated in the American Water Works Association(AWWA)’s Annual Conference and Exposition 2022(ACE22) in San Antonio, U.S.A.
    ACE is the U.S.’s largest community of water works, which is held every year, in which water professionals get together to learn, communicate, and share information in order to resolve today’s global water problems.
    At ACE22, which was held from June 13 to 15, K-water jointly operated the Korean Hall, with 14 Korean companies in the water industry participating in the event to promote their smart water management technology and convene business meetings. K-water also attended the meetings between 14 Korean water business companies and their buyers to actively support promotion of their technologies, build a global water industry network, and expand their overseas market foothold. In addition, the first ultra-pure water-related session was held at AWWA.
    During three-day event, K-water conducted about 200 business consultations and meetings, and many local water organizations participated in the event recognized excellent water technologies of Korea, showing high interest in them.

  • K-water held the growth support project kick-off meeting for social economy companies and the growth fund delivery ceremony.

    On June 21, K-water launched the 2022 growth support project for social economy companies to practice ESG management and revitalize the social economy. The project kick-off meeting was held at the headquarters together with six social economic companies selected through public subscription, and growth funds(worth KRW 180 million) were delivered to help them realize their business ideas.
    The public subscription was carried out on social economy portal sites and websites in April 2022, and five new companies and one company selected for the past two consecutive years were screened and selected for the project. These companies plan to carry out various projects to realize social value by resolving social problems and creating jobs through development of local job apprenticeship programs using tourist attractions around the dams, and production of design products using eco-friendly waste resources.
    In particular, K-water will reinforce the cooperation of social value realization activities for mutual growth in the regions for the project to be executed, in order to develop them as a long-term cooperative partner, while supporting them with growth funds for the realization of their business ideas.
