BTE Aspiring to Go Global with Hydrogen Fuel Cell

K-water is running a variety of support programs to develop future energy resources. Sponsored by K-water from the very early stage of its business, BTE, a start-up specializing in hydrogen energy, has succeeded in developing a multi-purpose, all-in-one hydrogen refueller. BTE won the Innovation Award for this refueller and the hydrogen fuel cell UGV at the CES 2023. In 2022, the company was awarded an encouragement award at the Korea Water Industry Start-up Grand Fair and a Ministry of SMEs and Startups Commendation at the Korea SMEs Innovative Technology Show. All these accolades attest to BTE’s solid status in the water industry. BTE CEO Gyu-jeong Shim expressed gratitude to K-water for providing fair opportunities that encouraged the company to develop good products.
BTE’s multi-purpose, all-in-one hydrogen refueller can be used to charge various types of hydrogen mobility including hydrogen vehicles, forklifts, drones, and bicycles. It controls the charging speed and flow by monitoring the safety sensor as well as the pressure and temperature inside the charger,

and the top-class built-in control technology ensures the product’s stability and safety. Currently, the company is working on the pilot development and mass production of the refueller and finding overseas business partners in North America, Europe, and Asia as well as exploring ways to expand its business globally based on market analysis.

G-Philos Turning the Power of Floating Solar Panels into Hydrogen Energy

G-Philos is participating in a joint investment-type technology development project sponsored by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and K-water. As part of the project, the company is creating an electrolysis system within Daecheong Water Intake Station and conducting demonstration tasks. G-Philos is solidifying its profile as an eco-friendly hydrogen energy company through the application of its technology to products and in the energy production process.
As a new renewable energy company aspiring to become a global leader in realizing carbon neutrality and building a hydrogen economy, G-Philos was launched in 2009 as a manufacturer of new renewable energy-based power converters. Today, it is actively involved in developing new renewable energy technologies and promoting the use of fuel cell systems; thus contributing to the growth of the new renewable energy industry. G-Philos focuses on developing three core technologies—the green hydrogen production system, the electrolysis system, and the new renewable energy power system (fuel cell system)—to respond swiftly to the fast-changing energy industry. Amid the ever-growing interest in energy technology and environment, expectations remain high as to the steps G-Philos will take down the road as a green hydrogen technology leader.
